The watercolor is in the upper right-hand quadrant of the first of two title pages — what publishers call the “half-title page” — of the hardcover book Andrew Wyeth written by Richard Meryman (Houghton Mifflin: Boston, 1968), in which it is bound. The book title Andrew Wyeth is printed just below and to the left of the watercolor. The following inscription in the artist’s hand is written just below the title and to the right under the watercolor: “Painted for Mrs. John Milton by Andrew Wyeth.” The cover of the book measures 13 1/4 x 17 1/2”. The image of the watercolor alone, not including the title of the book or the inscription, is approximately 5   ×   10 in. (12.7   ×   25.4 cm).
