“Jerusalem” was painted and purchased in 1948, the year
of Israel’s independence, by Milton Miller of Colorado in whose family,
which now resides in Maine, it has descended. It is very similar to another
oil of the same title, which won honorable mention by the Royal
Academy of London and is reputedly hanging in the official residence
of the President of Israel.
